About Us

Who are we?

We are parents / carers who share the common aim of improving the services our children receive. We all have children with some form of special need.A parent carers meeting - friendly and informal, come along!

We meet every 2 months to discuss issues relevant to our children. These may be connected with health, education or the care and support they receive, and where there are areas of particular concern, we invite the appropriate professional to listen to our views and look for a solution. Sometimes we will be asked for our opinion on a particular service or the development of a new one.

Where do we meet?

There are 6 local groups meeting across Devon. We meet in a variety of places across the county but wherever we choose we aim to ensure that the venue is easily accessible, friendly and there is tea, coffee and biscuits to hand. Some of our meetings are held in ‘child-friendly’ places, so child-care need not be a barrier to attending.

Does it cost anything?

It costs only your time and we even pay out of pocket costs for travel to attend Parent Carers’ Voice meetings. Attend one meeting or as often as you choose.
